12days until
The First Day of Summer Camp 2013

GSCSNJ is proud to report that most of our campers return every summer. Our camps lay the foundation for girls to learn independence, leadership and personal strength as they enjoy new and old friendships.

Safety is our #1 priority. All staff participate in pre-camp training, which includes first aid certifications. Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and are certified by the NJ Youth Camp Safety Act.

Please include your daughter in the summer camp decision making process once the Summer Camp 2013 information becomes available.

No matter which program your choose, girls will: play games and sing songs, participate in nature awareness activities, do arts and crafts, hike, enjoy campfires and outdoor cooking, receive a camp t-shirt on their first week at camp, and receive a color photograph of their program unit.

Dear Parents,

Beginning this summer, in our continuous efforts to provide the best possible care to our campers and staff, the summer camps of Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ are partnering with CampDoc.com.

CampDoc.com is an electronic health record system for camps, and will help us consolidate and integrate camper health information into a centralized and secure location. Their system will give our doctors and nurses instant access to camper health information, a key component in providing patient care. This is especially important since many of our campers attend both a day camp and the resident camp.

The security, confidentialilty and privacy of your camper’s personal health information will always be protected. Only camp Health Supervisions will have access to camper health information. The CampDoc.com site is secure, encryped and password protected.

You will receive a “Welcome E-mail” from CampDoc.com with information about how to complete your camper’s health information. When you do.....

·         Click the link in the Welcome email to set a new password for your CampDoc.com account.

·         Follow the instructions, and complete the health history for your camper. Alerts will appear for any required information that is missing.

·         Upload any required documents to your CampDoc.com account.

·         Return to CampDoc.com at any time to make changes / updates to your daughter’s health information.

Please set register@campdoc.com as a “safe sender,” to avoid accidental delivery of emails from CampDoc.com  to junk and spam folders.

Please note: All campers' Health Forms will be entered into GSCSNJ's CampDoc.com account.

Permission slips and program information for special programs (horseback riding and trips)
will be sent out later this spring.

At camp, when children make new friends, explore the world around them, and learn that "I can" is much more powerful than "I can't", magic happens. In an environment created just for them, children learn real life skills, develop self-esteem, and gain a sense of independence and community. Whether children are playing, exploring nature, conquering new heights, or becoming part of a camp family, they are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Because of Camp…® so much is possible.
