Facilities at Inawendiwin

Please note there are different rates. The "Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts" rate applies when all participants are registered Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts. The "Outside Groups" rate applies when no one is a member of a scouting organization.

Admin Building: Capacity 20 people (mattresses). Building with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, large common room, mattresses. Single story building with accessible ramp. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $105/Weekend, Outside Groups: $210/Weekend

Troop Camp House: Capacity 50 people (mattresses). Building with indoor fireplace, heaters and central air, running water, limited hot water, electric stoves, refrigerator and outdoor cooking area. There is a single bathroom with a shower on the first floor. There is a five stall bathroom with multiple sinks on the second floor. 1st floor is a large open area with a separate kitchen and bathroom. The second floor is a balcony along exterior walls and allows enough room for mattresses set up as a sleeping area. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $265/Weekend, Outside Groups: $530/Weekend

Lakeside: Wheelchair accessible. Capacity 30 people (mattresses).  Building with indoor fireplace, heat, running water, bathroom, limited hot water, electric stove, refrigerator and outdoor cooking area. Building is one-story; entry has accessible ramp. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $160/Weekend, Outside Groups: $320/Weekend

Sequoia: Capacity 12 people (mattresses). Building with indoor fireplace, heater, running water, limited hot water, electric stove, refrigerator and outdoor cooking area. This building has 2 separate indoor living areas. One side is large, open room (activities and sleeping); the other side has the kitchen and bathroom. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $75/Weekend, Outside Groups: $150/Weekend

Units 5 or 6: Capacity 28 people. Acorn cabins with cots and mattresses. Latrines, running water, limited hot water, showers, fire pit, eating area and a centrally located bath house. Refrigerators located in pavilions.  Acorn Cabins are available from mid-April to mid-October. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $90/Weekend, Outside Groups: $180/Weekend

Units 8 and 9: Capacity 28 people. Platform tents with some cots and mattresses. Latrines, running water, showers, limited hot water, fire pit, eating area and a centrally located bath house. Refrigerator located in pavilion. Tent units are available from mid-April to mid-October. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $80/Weekend, Outside Groups: $160/Weekend

Marion Villalobos Campsite (formally known as Unit 2): Capacity 28 people. This newly dedicated site is a fully accessible. Parking at site, building and acorn huts are ramped, cement walkways between all buildings. Site includes acorn cabins with cots and mattresses. Multi-use building includes 2 bathrooms and large common area.  There is a total of 3 flush toilets, refrigerator, a kitchen sink and hot water. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $105/Weekend, Outside Groups: $210/Weekend

Sites show suggested capacity. When group size exceeds suggested capacity, renting group will pay an additional fee for the additional people.

Girl Scouts: $2/Person, Boy Scouts and Public Usage: $4/Person

Activities at Inawendiwin

Please note that with any activity requested, payment is required prior to participation. Activities must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

As of October 1st 2014, Groups may provide their own instructor to teach activities as long as they were certified by council. You will need to submit a copy of your certification to Debbie Test at dtest@gscsnj.org.

If you are interested in becoming a hired instructor for GSCSNJ, please contact H.L Ransom at hlransom@gscsnj.org.  We care currently looking to hire archery instructors, canoe instructors and lifeguards.

Archery: Archery is for Girl Scout Brownies and older. Each session can accommodate up to 20 people. Session is approximately one hour. Instructor included. Available April, May, June, September and October. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $30/Session, Outside Groups: $60/Session

Hay Ride: Each ride can accommodate up to 20 people and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Available May, June, September, October (weather permitting). 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $25/Ride, Outside Groups: $45/Ride

Vandy Hall:  Capacity 200 people.  Used for meetings, meals and activities.  Features a commercial kitchen, cathedral ceilings with fans, two bathroom areas and a screened porch.  No sleeping is allowed in this building.  Available mid-April to mid-October.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $215/Weekend, Outside Groups: $430/Weekend

Rock Tower: Rock tower is for Girl Scout Brownies and older. Maximum of 25 people / session. The rock tower must be scheduled in advance as it is shared between other camps. Large groups, Service Units and Council program will have priority when reservations are made. Weight limit 40-220 lbs. Safety harness must properly fit participant.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $40/Hour, Outside Groups: $80/Hour

Geocaching: GPS units are available for rental or you may bring your own. There are 3 caches on the camp and the coordinates are in the kit. The GPS units in the kit are not pre-programmed. An instruction book is in the kit, but a basic understanding of GPS is helpful when planning this activity for a troop. Reservations should be made and paid for 2 weeks in advance. There is one kit per camp.  Available all year. Kits can be picked up Wednesday- Friday before your camping weekend at Cherry Hill or East Brunswick Service Center, kits must be returned Monday or Tuesday after your camping weekend. 

There are Girl Scout caches located on the site. GPS units are available for rental. $25.00 rental fee.  Please contact Debbie Test at 856-795-1560 ext. 300 or dtest@gscsnj.org to reserve.

Zip Line: Zip line is for Girl Scout Brownies and olderMaximum of 18 people/hour. Certified Instructors are required for this activity. Weight 40-220 lbs. Safety harness must properly fit participant.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $50/Hour, Outside Groups: $100/Hour

Canoeing: 24 people at a time. Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies can be a passenger as long as they are with older girls / adults. Certified instructor included. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Available April, May, June, September and October weather permitting. 

For canoeing please wear boat shoes, closed-toe and nonslip hiking/sport sandals with heel strap, or water socks or shoes (no flip-flops)

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts: $50/Hour, Outside Groups: $100/Hour
